Summer Meeting Wrap Up....Part 3

Last, but not least in importance, the State Committee approved the Platform Committee's plan to develop a new platform. The plan coupled with the aggressive plan for Presidential Caucuses will get people involved and keep them involved. The Platform Committee's plan is based on multiple smaller meetings around the state. Instead of ideas coming from the top down, the Platform Committee will focus on true grassroots involvement as they seek out 50 bright new ideas from across Kansas. Once involved in the platform development process, folks will have the opportunity to stay involved during the Presidential Caucuses and on into the 2008 election.

As the Platform Committee does it's work, Republican elected officials will have the opportunity to sit in on the meetings in their area and hear what their constituents have to say. The Committee will roll up these great ideas from around the state and form them into a new Republican Party Platform for consideration in January.

The Kansas Republican Party has never before attempted as Summer Meeting with the training opportunities, presentations and fun. The Executive Committee and State Committee not only got the usual party business accomplished, but addressed some vital administrative concerns. Most of all, the State Committee was ready to take on the challenges of 2008 and beyond by approving new and innovative ideas like the Presidential Caucus plan and the Platform Committee's plan.

Kansas will be high on the 'to-do' list for the RNC in 2008. The Summer Meeting put the Party firmly on the road to success in 2008.

Are you F-ing kidding me by your last statement? That the summer meeting will put us high on the list for the RNC. That meeting was proved a disaster by the media. Not even our statewides or most of our executive committee showed up for that. Please. You are a Joke.

Grassroots involvement in the platform process will probably be Kris Van Meteren and Jared Suhn sitting at their kitchen table writing 80 pages of nonesense on a Big Chief tablet

Wow! This is our grand plan for victory for 2008, the platform and caucuses? We are in serious trouble people. Please at least tell me that the fundraising is going well.

This used to be a great blog. Now it sucks rocks. It reads like public relations spin from Christian Morgan instead of an independent voice inside the party.

Ron Paul is gaining. Let's do something pure and unadulterated and jump on his bus.

Whoredom as usual is killing us.

Hilarious and true. It was already a funny comment and then you pulled out the Big Chief tablet referrence. Classic!

Nothing in the new constitution or bylaws has directly excluded any mods from anything but it certainly set things up so that the wingnuts on the exec committee can now further alienate the reasonable people in the party.

Was this blog really posted in a serious tone? the summer meeting showed the incompetence and absolute insanity that is the State Party. The party showed absolutely zero concern for Beating Democrats in 2008... only advancing personal agendas. Re-writing the platform is not going to make the state party as a whole look good at all. nero fiddled while rome burned

Did you see that the new National Chairman of the Young Republicans just resigned because he's being charged with gay-raping a 22 year old?

Nice party.

I want to know if the Kansas Young Republicans supported this rapist. Does anybody know who the KYR's voted for?

Okay, so the national YR chairman likes to force himself on young boys. Whatever. Is he prolife?

We need to be careful criticizing this pervert. Remember we have a 100% absolute loyalty policy. Just because the YR Chairman enjoys jailhouse rape doesn't give us the right to complain. We wouldn't want to be brought up on charges before the Loyalty Committee.

You should read your own story. The guy hasn't been charged or arrested and you are already calling him a rapist?

If you are capable of using a calendar, you might notice that the alleged assault happened after the election. Maybe going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing he didn't run and get elected as "The Rapist Candidate".

Kansas is not going to be on any help list of the RNC. They'll throw some money at the Boyda race, but that's about it.

As for the YR Chair. Gee, by some of these posts you'd think he was drunk, drove off a bridge and left someone in the car to drown. Oh, sorry D bloggers. Hit a little too close to home?

RNC is unlikely to spend a dime in Kansas. If Roberts were to get into trouble, the nationals might come in. But that's unlikely to happen. RNC NRCC and NRSC are on defense in 08. They protect incumbents first, go after open seats second. If anything is left over, they go to challenger races. There's no incumbent in trouble and no open seat, so no national money will come to KS.

Don't you love it when conservatives turn out to the perverts. And, gay as well. Very amusing.

Calling him a "rapist" is an exaggeration. Obviously, this is the Democrat spin machine trying to make a mountain out of the mole hill. The article doesn't say anything about rape. It could be nothing more than simple aggravated sexual assault or aggravated sodomy. Let's not over-react here.

No, I don't love it when anyone turns out to be a pervert. Hoping someone is a sexual predator or wishing for a sexual assault so you can somehow score political points is just pathetic.

More of the so-called "family values" people turning out to be perverts. No wonder people stopped believing the GOP rhetoric.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if the YR chairman used the YR organization to spot, track and lure his victims. He probably preyed on the countless interns, campaign staffers and political wannabes who surround these political functions.

We have no idea how many of our YRs were exposed to this pervert's homoerotic black magic. We should immediately send all our YRs off to "get straight" camp. Through christian reprogramming, we can cleanse their souls of all traces of gayness.

Phill Kline confiscated Planned Parenthood's records to look for evidence of child rape.

I suggest that he confiscate the Young Republican's records to look for evidence of gay rape.

Boring blog

What kind of pie are you having today, Corrie?

All the GOP blogs died when people starting talking about the YR gay sex ring.

Shhhhhh. It was supposed to be a secret.

Anonymous said...

Actually, this blog died when the Stayredkansas blog people took this over. It's now a mouthpiece for Christian Morgan and his buddies.

How come this is the GOP Insider and there has been nothing about Nick Jordan running.
